Valentine’s Day was perhaps created by the Romans but essentially perfected by the Victorians. There is an art to decadence, and it’s fragrant fervor, and aromas bleed from every adorned realm of Old Victoria. This time is the quintessential ideal of Valentine’s Day, inspiring gripping, passionate love with an idyllic flair. In modern day, how do we bring back the feeling of old romance with an up to date twist? We combine the charming, whimsical, Edible Glitter from Watson with the captivating Aristocratic and Bourgeoisie style of a time gone by.

While a version of a King’s Cake can be associated with and attributed to a wide variety of countries and cultures the one that stands out and has a deeply seeded association with the celebration is the New Orleans version. The Fourth of July is right around the corner. I think it is a great time to bring up some of my favorite sweet treats for the Independence Day Holiday.

The cookies above are one of my favorites. Edible Glitter™ shapes have an amazing visual impact. Personally, I am not a fan of the crunchy candy sprinkles in star shapes. I do not like that much crunch on my cookies. I the texture of the cookie and I think the candy-crunch detracts from that. Edible Glitter™ Shapes have none of that crunch. You don’t really notice them when you bite into the cookie. The stars are so thin that they do not have an impact on texture or bite.

Did you know that more chips are eaten at 4th of July BBQs than at any other time of the year? Who doesn't have chips on the 4th of July! These are great Independence Day themed chips, made just by sprinkling on a little red and blue Edible Glitter™. One of the things I like about working with Edible Glitter™ is that the flakes are so thin and light, that they stick easily to any surface that is even only slightly sticky, or oily in this case. Edible glitter even sticks to buttered popcorn!

This shows you how easy it is to turn any ordinary food item into a holiday favorite with Edible Glitter™.
